About the event
High Energy News Music is a multimedia performance with music by Doug Barber, Pat Glennon, and Chrystine Rayburn, dance by Emily Craver, Sarah Bodony, Sophia Smith, and Emily Pacilio, and video performance, voice-over and acting by Gavin Price. High Energy News Music (created from a line in the film RoboCop - “cue high energy news music”) delves into the chaos and challenges of witnessing and listening within the accelerated and ever-changing information cycles of public and private spheres. The piece debuted at Elastic Arts in Chicago March of 2024, and featured dance, animation, bass clarinet, guitar, and electronics. The evening will begin at 6:30 PM on the second floor at 123 4th St, next to and above the Rivoli (directly atop the marquis). The first half of the evening, there will be a gallery of sound and video art. The second half of the evening will be a live dance and music performance. Suggested donation of $10.
