the game
A collaboration between the experimental pop band Big Pal, dance company The Little Streams, and electronic improviser Stephan Moore, this multichannel and multimedia performance features choreography and music sequenced by card game mechanics.
This piece began as a collaboration from afar, between La Crosse, WI, Chicago, IL and Richmond, VA with a three-day intensive process January 7-9th, culminating in a performance at Elastic Arts.

Sarah Bodony

Sarah Bodony (she, they) is a teacher, dancer, and choreographer originally from Allentown, PA. She is currently based in Chicago, IL. She graduated from The Ohio State University, with a BFA in Dance in 2021. Sarah is a freelance dancer and company member with The Rooted Space Company. She's excited to be streaming with The Little Streams.

Emily Craver
choreographer / dancer
Emily Craver holds an MFA in dance from the Ohio State University and a B.S. from Skidmore College. She is currently an Assistant Professor of Dance at Viterbo University. She dances with NYC-based Trainor Dance and New Orleans-based CabinFever Live Art. Her collaborative company, The Little Streams has shown three evening-length works at Triskelion Arts in Brooklyn, NYC.

Patrick Glennon
musician / programmer
Patrick Glennon is a musician and game developer. He regularly composes for dance and performs with the experimental pop trio Big Pal and the electroacoustic duo Lirra Skirra. He has curated the independent record label Dead Definition since 2016. His studio practice merges electronic instrument design and video game programming through installations that navigate anxiety, labor, and automation.

Stephan Moore
Treatments
Stephan Moore is a sound artist, designer, composer, improviser, programmer, engineer, teacher, and curator based in Chicago. His creative work manifests as electronic studio compositions, improvisational outbursts, sound installations, scores for collaborative performances, algorithmic compositions, interactive art, and sound designs for unusual circumstances. Much of his work is collaborative, most notably with sound artist Scott Smallwood in their duo Evidence and with choreographer Yanira Castro in the collective a canary torsi. He is the co-founder of the Chicago Laboratory for Electro-Acoustic Theater (CLEAT) at the Elastic Arts Foundation, which promotes and encourages the creation of multichannel audio works. He is also the president of Isobel Audio LLC, which builds and sells his Hemisphere loudspeakers. He was the music coordinator and touring sound engineer of the Merce Cunningham Dance Company (2004-10), and has worked with Pauline Oliveros, Anthony McCall, and Animal Collective, among many others. He is a Professor of Instruction in the Sound Arts and Industries program at Northwestern University.

Chrystine Rayburn is a musician and educator based in Richmond, VA. Her practice encompasses sound archiving, electroacoustic composition, and installation. She writes and performs with projects including Big Pal, Lirra Skirra, and the dance company The Little Streams.

Sophia Smith

Sophia is a freelance dancer based in Chicago, IL. She holds a BFA in Dance from The Ohio State University in 2021, with a focus in performance and choreography. Sophia is a company member with Niko8 under the direction of Sean Roschman. She has enjoyed her time as a freelance artist, and is looking forward to being part of another High Energy New Music project with Big Pal and Little Streams.
